Saw this while we were walking around Stillwater yesterday and thought it was cool. It almost looks monochromatic but is still in color.

Okay! I’m glad you’re all still with me even though the website was pretty wonky the last couple of days. For the most part, the blog is finished and I’m just tweaking and adding photos to the rest of the website. Take a look around the new design and tell me what you think!
Today Lizzie and I went over to Stillwater which, for those of you who aren’t in MN, is a little old river town on the edge of Minnesota and Wisconsin. It’s really cute and has beautiful architecture, brickwork, and detailing. I’ll be posting a few more photos from our outing, but for now, just let me leave you with the two sights that evoked polar emotions – horror and delight.
Horror – A really scary statue hanging from one of the shops. Maybe they’re trying to scare the children?

Delight – We found a great malt shop and split a huge banana split. Yum!

If you’re one of Bossy’s readers stopping by, hi! And if you’re not, you should check out Bossy’s website after you’re done here.
I’m finally getting around to posting some of the pictures I took last weekend at the Minneapolis fireworks show. We got there early to get a good spot and scope out the most interesting characters. First up was this accordion player who was a little afraid of the camera, though I find him charmingly photogenic.

Next up, the hippie fire-eater/juggler with quite the beard (and dreads which you can’t see in this picture). I think I’d be a little bit afraid of fire being so close if I had a beard like that.

This guy had a Where’s Waldo shirt on and I loved his glasses. I don’t think I could pull off the glasses, but he made me wish I could :)

And a little kid who seemed exceedingly pleased that I like his patriotic wig.

And finally, we got to see a beautiful show.
